Trophy guide is misleading, refer to this

Part 1 (100 Matches): If you wish to farm out the 100 games, it'll take you over 30-35 hours, not 16-20 hours like the guide mentions. It's simple math really, each match takes on average of about 20 minutes. 20min x 100 matches = 2000 minutes = 33.33 hours. It is highly unlikely that you join matches during their end-game. Some of them may also take more than 20 minutes if both teams are trying hard to win. Farming them with a turbo controller is convenient, however with the rubber band method it is much different. The game requires you to choose a class after you die or spawn, so it makes it annoying if you're constantly in need of pressing x to find a good hiding spot. The trick is to jump down the water every time the game starts, then hide away from the map's view, leave your controller with rubber band on right analog stick only. Keep track of your screen in the background to do the same trick when the game ends. I tried leaving my character in spawn to idle in a good hiding spot but yet still getting killed by planes/snipers from afar.

 

Track the matches by the 30 matches played trophy. Then make sure when you hit 50 matches played, back out to double check in your stats/awards if you have 50 matches unlocked. As from there just start tracking from the 50 to 100. 

 

Part 2 (Best Squad): This trophy is definitely bugged so I did leave a comment on the guide, hopefully the creator will change it as such. Many sources mentioned that you need to get best squad 3 times on each 3 maps. After accumulating 15 best squads, some of those best squads counters did not register in the stats/awards section. I definitely knew I had enough to unlock the trophy but nothing happened still. Hence made me do some research on the matter, some said that you needed to play without a squad or just reach top on the Leaderboards or simply kill someone and it'll unlock. So I stopped idling, went to go get a couple of kills/flags, still nothing. Next game, do the same thing, unlocks after I spawned from a death but I did have a few kills prior to that. I was in a squad while it happened so I'm not exactly sure if not being in a squad plays in as a factor. My advice is to experiment with this one after you reach the 3 best squads on each 3 maps.

 

As for the other trophies, you are good to go. Simple and easy, guide also refers to some methods you can use to get a quick airplane kill without using the plane.

The only tricky parts of the trophies are getting a plane kill and being the best squad on each map. Other than that, the trophies are not too bad. you may want to turbo your way out of 100 matches and leave your PS3 on if you happen to own a turbo controller. If you want to play the hundred rounds, prepare to deal with max level players to play brutal and unfair, which is the part of the game can be unfun.

Thanks. Yeah, I used a Turbo for about a full day before anything else. I'm not sure if I had fulfilled the conditions for Best Squad or not. However, the trophy popped after I got a sniper kill. Definitely bugged. 

 

I also want to add that I'm completely certain capture assists are tracked as standard flag captures and, therefore, count toward the Veteran trophy. The second stats screen at the end of matches displays the number of captures and doesn't distinguish between the two types. I know for a fact I didn't have 5 and 25 full flag captures when those trophies registered. I had just gotten that kind of capture when those trophies popped, though. Maybe that's necessary to trigger them, I'm not sure. Could just be a coincidence.

 

Either way, Veteran isn't as terrible for a newbie thanks to this fact.
