How do you resign as a national manager?

Took over a National team for the trophy. Now I’ve got it I don’t want to manage Austria anymore. But there isn’t anyway that I can see to actually resign. The only contract details that seem to be available are for the club team I manage.

 

Anyone managed to resign from a national team job whilst they are also a club manager at the same time? If so, please tell me how you did it

I never saw an opening to apply for National team manager when I was playing as club manager. I selected start as club manager when starting my save.

If I wanted to be national manager on current save I had to start a new manager from the Game Status page and take over a country.

 

The easiest way if you are going for the trophy is selecting national teams only when starting a new game. Then just win the upcoming WC which starts in the winter. Or choosing club and a national team when you start, but I didn't want to coach a national team more than necessary.

I can't find anywhere how to select a national team when I start a new game 😪. Been searching for a while and have opened every tab but to no result
