Cross Buy - Physical Version

Does anyone know if I purchase the physical PS4 version, will I be able to download the PS5 version/upgrade for free? Game looks super fun. If I love it, I'd like the option to play it twice.

I bought the digital version and I am able to download both versions.

edit: sorry just noticed you said physical version I believe there is a free upgrade for this game

@bethlillianThanks for the reply. Hopefully someone can confirm on the physical side, but if they are allowing upgrades on the digital side, it probably works with the physical version as well.

I can confirm the PEGI/European physical version has a free upgrade at least, just tried it myself with my PS4 copy (incidentally, it's also one of those annoying ones that insists on installing the PS4 version every time you pop in the disc)

 

I can't confirm for the NTSC/American version, but I imagine it also has a free upgrade.

It does include the upgrade.

I got the PS4 disc version and yes the PS5 upgrade is free.

 

One annoying thing though, same with all other PS4 > PS5 upgrade games, you're stuck with the PS4 version popping up every time you turn on your PS5, because you have the PS4 disc in your machine. I only plan on playing the PS5 version, but if you mistakenly started the PS4 version, you'll have the PS4 trophy list on your profile.
