Yeah it's a bit bothersome, almost every time it happens I close my eyes in response. It's very bright. Don't think there's anything you can do about it unfortunately. I remember a video I watched on the pixel remasters ages ago said that they could be searingly bright when compared to past versions of the games. I guess this is a consequence of that.
