Super powerful Gear from the start

If you want to breeze through half the game from the start, or, like me, you missed one or more bestiary entries and have to start a new game to get it (I missed Land Ray), here is how to get some super powerful gear from the start:

 

- Turn 4x Boosts (especially Gil)

- As soon as you have access to the World Map, farm 5000 Gil (the more the better)

- Turn off Encounters

- Go to Mysidia (Yes you can pretty much visit 80% of the map from the start!), it's in the South West.

- Buy some powerful weapon and gear (you can just buy Ice Bow for everyone if you like which costs 5K each)

- Repeat until everyone is well equipped...

 

Notes:

- Depending on the world map region you are in the monsters can get tougher but also give more Gil! The ones around Mysidia hit hard but can get you equipped pretty quickly!

Weapon Shop

Power Staff - 8000

Flame Lance - 15000

Ogrekiller - 15000

Ice Bow - 5000

 

Armor Shop

Ice Shield - 5000

Knight's Armor - 5000

Thief's Gloves - 1000

Giant's Gloves - 1500
