The series director and Marvelous president noted that the graphics were a huge leap from previous Rune Factory games and that the spin-off will push the boundaries of the series and offer a unique experience whilst still retaining staples of the Rune Factory games such as adventuring, dating, and farming. Rune Factory 6 was also announced but no footage was shown. Only the setting, the western continent of Adonea was revealed.
