Superstar without online

It is possible to get everything except the 3 online multiplayer trophies. However, it will take a massive grind (without the online modes). For example, to get the 50 million followers for "superstar" and enough cash to buy all the rigs and some of the best pilots (which you will need to help you beat division 1), you can just repeat getting platinum medal for some of the exhibitions in that solo time attack mode. You get close to 1800 cash and a number of new followers every time you get one platinum in that solo mode. Obviously, if you just repeat that, over and over again, you eventually get enough followers and cash to take care of the rest. But, you probably have to do that time attack or solo exhibition with platinum rank around 300-400 times. When the online multiplayer was available it was a lot faster and easier because online matches would give you the same as that exhibition mode if you lost the whole match, and double that or even triple if you were the winner. So winning online matches was a fast way to buy all the rigs and to get "superstar" in less than half the time. In addition, many people would leave the controller with a rubber band around the motion stick, so it would continue going into more online matches without detecting inactivity (and without you having to play it), and even if you lost all the matches, it would give you tons of followers and cash per match without doing anything. That method is no longer available though. Without the online modes, the only way to do this now is the big grind. And the easiest way to do that is to pick a solo challenge where you know you can get platinum rank always, and redo it 400 times. Also, for any new player: do yourself a favor and buy the rigs anger management and killswitch first; and, even though there is no trophy for getting pilots, buy some better level-3 teammates as soon as you unlock them (with enough followers). It is too hard to win (without being a master at this type of game) if you don't get better teammates and a reasonably good rigs. None of the rigs are overpowered (you will get destroyed with any of them quickly, if you don't know what you are doing), but killswitch's ability to grab things and power-ups by shooting at them (instead of having to walk to them) really makes the endzone mode a lot easier. And I found that the anger management rigs was pretty reasonable for all the other modes, especially if you prefer close-range combat. The rest is just unlocking and buying the better pilots and getting better at the game. Also, forget about going solo all-guns-blazing in an open space like in doom. You will need to ambush and attack the opposition with at least one of your teammates involved in the attack, otherwise, you are the one who gets ambushed and destroyed in no time by more than one of the enemies. It's challenging and the grind to farm followers and cash won't be fun, but, there is no doubt that everything can be done, except the 3 multiplayer trophies.

For new players however, I would recommend forgetting about trophies and completion and simply trying this because it is one of the top 10 games in psvr1. It's probably the best one with the dualshock4 controller in psvr1, and I think that even after seeing Battlezone and Astro Bot Rescue Mission. Rigs is extremely action-packed and it fully delivers the feeling of being at a combat mech in a fast-paced Olympic battle arena. Also, the A.I. is pretty good. It feels like a real online multiplayer, even though you are just playing against bots in the single player mode. To deal with the initial difficulty, simply focus on completing the exhibitionist trophy first (it will train you and you will farm followers and cash to buy better teammate pilots too); and buy anger management and killswitch first. For the exhibition stuff, buy the fastest mech available for each rigs type (fliers, tanks, double-jumpers, etc.) to help you in time attack, or, if you want to be balanced and be able to use them in the other single player modes too, just buy the others in the same category of mechs as anger management (the ones that are red, blue, and white).
