Popular Post Flitterbloom
Hello there! Very first update on my kaleidoscope (yeah I kinda procrastinated... a lot) : Felt like I had no progress on my colors, at all, until recently, but I guess it's not that bad. Spoiler White - I first had Tacoma as my white but it's now replaced with my Salt and Sacrifice. I had fun playing it (even though I still prefer Sanctuary) co-op! Pretty sure we would have it a lot easier playing each on our side tho, particularly for me going with the light-weight armor hunter build while my partner in crime went Paladin-style 😁. Yellow - I've been wanting to play Cuphead for sooooo long, it was my perfect Yellow. I had a blast and will probably replay it for quite some time, trying to better my ranks, going, hopefully, for all those S-ranks ! Orange - The Wanderer: Frankenstein's Creature has been waiting in my backlog since last year, I really didn't want to replay all of it just for the endings. I finally felt like going back to this game and earned my platinum. It was still nice to play, even though I knew partly what was going to happen. Red - Sweet sweet Bayonetta, I'll keep it short : the three others (can't wait to play Origins!!) are patiently waiting on the Switch right now. Loved the character already, loved even more playing it. Pink - I'll just say I enjoyed Picnic Panic (DLC) more than the base game. Maroon - Did I already mention I really don't like playing management games with a controller? Probably. Did I go for it anyway? Yeah... This game had a few bugs but nothing too irritating, just had to reload a few times during long sessions. I learned quite a few thing about wine playing Hundred Days though, so there's that! Purple - I went for Skul even though I was told the game's hard and I would probably want to rip my own head off at some point. Glad to say it didn't happen. I LOVE this game, played it through the PS+ Essential offer and will definitely grab a physical copy now. There's still many many skulls I need to try after all. Deep Purple - I must admit I got kinda disappointed with this one. Playing Sea of Stars last year I wanted to play The Messenger to see the connexions for myself, got it recommended as "you like metroidvanias, you will love it!". I didn't. The first part felt really long to me, and the "metroidvania part" felt underwhelming. I should have played it with no expectations I suppose, because the game is not bad, but I didn't enjoy playing it. Blue - I had to play Disney Speedstorm at some point because those characters are my childhood (and because of curiosity, too). I had fun while going for the trophies but since then they changed a lot of things in the game. I didn't like the changes and uninstalled it, I got my trophies "just in time" before these update. Light Blue - Not sure Degrees of Separation is the best pick for this color since it's half yellow but since it's gonna be replaced with Grime, it'll do for now. Played it with my significant other, it was nice even though we liked one segment a little less for its mechanic. Little cosy puzzle game, it's always nice once in a while. Light Green - The Delicious Last Course, obviously! I could not stop halfway my trophies for Cuphead, right?! Grey - Life is Strange 2 was the only LiS game I had not done yet. I am now prepared for Maxine's comeback! I liked it, even though I can't help but see the ropes in this type of game. I still cry every time anyway. Black - I can wrap-up my feeling about Hades quite easily : I felt really empty when I finally platinumed this game and had to decide what to play next. I still have one fish to grab to complete my save and then... guess I'll try that Hell Mode! 😈 There. I'll try to update it more frequently for the rest of the year. I won't add much with next game since Grime will just replace my Light Blue (and the DLCs are Blue and Maroon) but I already know what to play for Tan and Brown. Green will probably be Yooka-Laylee or Transistor as it seems nothing else in my library fits in there. Keep having fun! Popular Post Doodlebawp
Update time for card number two! Granblue Fantasy: Relink - I love this game to death. A linear, story-driven game that morphs into Monster Hunter once you get into the endgame. Deep customization and upgrade paths, great boss battles, fun combat. A 9/10 experience for me. Daxter - Another PSP platformer. Not amazing, not horrible. Unicorn Overlord - A faster paced Fire Emblem meets Advance Wars. This game deserves way more love than its been getting. Vanillaware doesn't miss.

Popular Post Beyondthegrave07 Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM Popular Post Share Posted yesterday at 02:39 AM (edited) Ok, funny story... My original plan was to move Tinykin to pink, add A Short Hike, and finish Wild Arms to fill in Maroon (It's pinkish maroon, but since Tinykin is so light, it works perfectly). If I would have done this, it would have left me with the two best, unsavory colors in the kaleidoscope.... yellow and brown. What actually happened was I stumbled upon The Pedestrian before that happened and ended up finishing my yellow game instead... so much for a good ole toilet joke... Anyways, I did decide to move Tinykin to pink and add A Short Hike for orange and think it fits quite nicely. I also finished The Pedestrian which now just leaves me with two colors. I guess I can still save the best for last (brown) and still get a nice poo joke in there somewhere, but it doesn't feel as great as having just yellow and brown left... Coming back to my finished game, The Pedestrian is a very short puzzle platformer where you run between signs, connecting certain ones together to collect certain items and open up paths to new areas. It's charming, but I'm glad the game wasn't a 10-hour game. I feel like with puzzle games with a few gimmicks should not outstay their welcome, and I feel like The Pedestrian and The Gardens Between did a great job of this. Weirdly enough though, the end of the game plays a little differently and kind of wish there was more of that. It was pretty fun! When it comes to puzzlers, I don't think it quite matches the charm and story of The Gardens Between, but I had fun with it nevertheless. Last year, I squeezed out a card in the final month with about 10 days remaining and this year we are halfway through, and I'm almost done and have a bit of a gameplan to finish this one. It's also going to be really weird when I finish this one and already have half another card finished. Part of me wants to go ahead and fill one out, part of me doesn't want to start filling one out or I may forget about my original one. I am also debating if I should change games on this one to make the most eye-catching, impressive card possible or if I just leave it as is? Huh, choices... may just be lazy and leave as is. Haha. I actually have a few impressive plats that aren't included in this card because I'm just filling it in as I go and the easiest games tend to get finish quicker. Maybe my next card will be more inspiring when it comes to difficulty or maybe the PS classic catalogue will continue to control my game time. The first arenas dlc kicked my butt. I've yet to start the second, but from what I've heard there is a boss rush on the hardest difficulty. As in, one hit = age one year. If I ever get back to it, it will be the most difficult things I've done in gaming.
