I'm starting with the earlier games and making my way through the more recent ones. However, I am a bit stumped on Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0. For Resident Evil I was thinking maybe it could fit brown or black? For Resident Evil 0, I have no clue. Maybe brown? Maybe it's too complicated to fit at all? What do you guys think? RE would be best as a black, but I wouldn't fight it if it was used for a brown. RE0 I think might actually work for a Maroon best. Since that's a tough one to find games for, I am a bit more lenient on it!
Popular Post Venal
New update! Tan: Sleeping Dogs -> A Plague Tale: Requiem. I like that this image is simpler than the last one. Maroon: Need for Speed Heat. I'm going to follow my predecessors from last year and use that rainbow of an image to get rid of this color.
Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Another game down! I was honestly hoping I could have used The Gardens Between for the mental health event, but after playing it, I don't think it quite hit the mark (or enough to really articulate on it). I think one could argue it improves mental health with puzzles and a heart-warming story, but I think that's where the mental health aspect ends. However, I think it works perfect for this event with green! You win some, you lose some! This is one of those games where elitists look at the rarity and think it's "trash", but I was personally blown away this how cool this game was and how the puzzles all came together in each level. It was definitely worth playing (since I have PS+ Extra), and it's always hard for me to turn down a game that can give me a good think for a couple of hours. I find some puzzle games kind of bland since a lot of them reuse the same tropes over and over every level and are too long, but this game does just enough to not overstay it's welcome and has just enough variety in its puzzle to feel rewarding and make it feel like each level is unique. I won't spoil the story here, but I did find the ending heart-warming, and endearing since this is kind of something I had to deal with when I was younger. I hope if anyone reads this and is on the fence will take my advice: PLAY IT. It's a gorgeous little puzzler that's definitely great for a stress-free, relaxing Sunday afternoon!

Popular Post woggly4
Long time no update but here I am. It's not because I gave up on the challenge or anything, it's just that I got carried away playing Transport Fever 2 on PS4, enjoying another 130 hours with this beast of a game. I already played the PS5 version in last year's challenge but thanks to platform stacks I could enjoy this from scratch once again and had a blast, will also add it as Light Blue this year. I will add my review from last year below since it still holds up but will add some additional thoughts on my second playthrough. Quote If you liked Cities Skylines but always felt you want to have more control about how transport is done this might be the game for you! A thing that always bothered me about CS was that I can't really control how and where transport is happening and TF2 just nails it. You can place signals for railways and build turnout tracks, control where trucks/ships/busses drive and the best part, most of the time vehicles don't drive into or through each other. It's not perfect but the... let's call it "scenery realism" (if that makes sense) is on another level. I could sink hours in CS to "just do a little bit here, optimizing something there" but TF2 gives you so much more options to do that, and to sink even more hours. I spent hours just optimizing stuff and admiring my progress afterwards, and it happened more than once that I forgot the time and fiddled for 5+ hours even though I just wanted to "fix it real quick", and that is a good thing! If you're into CS-typed games and are more interested in the transport aspects rather than citybuilding definitely have a look at TF2. I'd recommend to start the game with the (quite lengthy) campaign because it acts as a tutorial but also as a little history lesson about how transportation evolved in the world. After the campaign you can jump right into free game where the game unveils its full potential (well you could before but the mechanics will be overwhelming without a tutorial first). Trophywise it was fun to just play and don't concentrate on trophies imho, even though some trophies were a little out of place because it's unlikely you'll get that in a normal playthrough. But most trophies are very much attainable on a blind playthrough and I really liked that aspect. If you don't know the game, do yourself a favor and play it on PS5 if you can. Rendering distance and overall visuals are far better. It's not bad on PS4 and absolutely fine but PS5 is simply better. Gameplay-wise you should definitely start with the campaign to prepare yourself for the free game. I also noticed that the Hard difficulty is quite hard. When I first played it, I started with Easy and after learning how the game works, Hard didn't seem that hard. However, now on my second playthrough I thought I could start with Hard right away (after the campaign) but nope... I forgot more than I would've thought. It took me a while to admit to myself that I need to cancel my Hard-run and start it slow again. After all that memory came back on Easy, Hard was doable again. Overall I really loved every minute of playing and I can only recommend this game. The devs are also working on a bigger update that is supposed to be released later this year, maybe even with mod-support on console. In the meantime I was in the mood of some relaxing game and even though the trophy list(s) might look like it's shovelware, it isn't because you actually have to do something and not just wait a specific amount of time or hold the stick in one direction. Hidden Cats in New York for Purple and Hidden Cats in London for Orange. The game is explained pretty fast: It's a hidden objects game, with cats, and jazz music, and a wonderful hand drawn art style where the initially black/white city gets more colorful the more cats you find. Sounds lame? Maybe, but it's ridiculous how relaxing this game is! I started with the New York game and couldn't get enough and jumped onto London as well. Both are very easy and very fast games, NY around 2 hours, London around 1 hour. And normally I wouldn't play games like that but I don't feel any shame that I did and had some relaxing minutes while playing it.
Popular Post Biscoito18
2nd Card Completed! 🌈🌈 Finishing my second card with two games that I discovered through this challenge: - Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion for light green: Very funny and creative game. It's so relaxing to shred documents like a maniac without any worries. I hope the second game doesn't take long to arrive on PlayStation; - TOEM for grey: I think this is the best cozy indie game I've played. A lot of charisma, simple graphic style that pleases the eyes, good jokes, cute characters and creative solutions. It's a complete package! The only bad thing about TOEM is that it ends; The best ones: Tomb Raider I / Tomb Raider II / Dead Island 2 / TOEM; The worst ones: Tacoma / Mystic Pillars Overall, I had a lot more fun with this second card. It was a dream to complete the classic Tomb Raider trilogy and games like Tinykin, Toem, A Short Hike and I Am Dead are some of the best indies I've ever played. This year I plan to beat my personal record for number of platinums earned in a year so I'm going to keep filling out new cards. I've already started the third card but I'm going to wait a while to post it. 😎 Tacoma Mystic Pillars Unfinished Business (Tomb Raider I DLC) A Short Hike Tomb Raider II Tinykin Ravenous Devils I Am Dead Tomb Raider III The Lost Artifact (Tomb Raider III DLC) The Golden Mask (Tomb Raider II DLC) The Gardens Between Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion Tomb Raider I TOEM Dead Island 2
Popular Post damcrac5
It has been a while since my last post. But it's for a good reason. I've completed Brothers A Tale of Two Sons Remake! I kid. (I did though, see brown) My big completion, and maybe for the year, is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Took me 122 hours over the last two months to complete. I really enjoyed this game. A rare instance where an open world aspect of a game didn't feel boring. The combat in the game is my favorite from and action sense. Only downfall I really had with the game, is the constant need to change entire party materias to get through Hard mode efficiently. I probably spent more time moving materia around during my platinum run than I did on the legendary battles (which took me around 10 hours for the last two). Thankfully, the minigames weren't as bad as I feared. I'm ready for Part 3, whenever that comes down the road. (I used Opti's guides for the brutal and legendary simulators.) Brothers was a very enjoyable, 2 hour experience that takes you through a wide range of emotions as you try to find a cure for your ailing father. My only issue with the platinum, is you can earn it prior to completing the game, which occurs in the next 15-20 minutes. I enjoyed playing the older version with my daughter sharing a controller so this seemed like a no brainer for me to add to my profile, and thus, my kaleidoscope challenge. Next up? A Plague Tale Requiem. Loved the first one, and so far, Requiem has been excellent. Many things feel better from combat, to crafting, and the storyline has me hooked again. Though needing a partial second playthrough to max skills will be strange, especially saying your skills level up based on how many people you kill, The plat shouldn't be too far away. I've been following Optinoob's text guide on the site to minimize spoilers while ensuring I reduce playtime in an additional run. edit: I'll update it next time, but I forgot to put PGA Tour 23 back on for grey. Maybe Persona 5 Royal will take it's place either way. For the officials, it was hard to pick where to put Rebirth and the Intermission DLC. They both have a bit of yellow and orange with the sun in the background. Let me know if I should move/remove or change 'em around. Popular Post Breakingthegreen
Hello again friends, I've completed a 16th game, and ended my first card (will there be a second... probably.) I'm ending on the Red title Persona 5 Tactica. With this game and strikers, you'd think that the Phantom Thieves could've stopped the original game's antagonist in a week, rather than 9 months, yeah, they started out as slackers :P. Persona 5 Tactica is a turn-based strategy game in a very similar vein to Mario + Rabbids, both being deliberately designed to be accessible to fans of non-strategy genres. Unfortunately, I think Mario + Rabbids surpasses it (in terms of fun, I'm not gonna pretend that the story or music weren't very good.) Here's the thing, I play Persona games on normal, but it's just straight up too easy, and it didn't help that I had a bunch of high level equipment entering new game+, there are harder difficulties, but I would still have expected to struggle on normal since I'm such a novice. The style is changed to a chibi style where every heroic character loses their noses, presumably after a well intentioned game of "Got your nose" gone wrong. I can't pretend I'm a fan since the meat of the story discusses abuse and extortion, the chibi style and theme of the story have major tonal dissonance. One of the things I love about the Persona series is the dual worlds mechanic, where characters can act more like themselves outside of the main plot, even the Dancing game had social links to complete, so it's odd that this game's social aspects are so limited, the chats in the hideout you mostly just talk more about the main plot. If your buying this game for more interactions between the cast, you'll likely find yourself disappointed. But the big question, "Did I have fun?" Yes, I don't complete games if they bore me too much, and considering my save file says I played for 70 hours, but I did take 5 months finish it, so take that for what it's worth. Breakingthegreen's Poorly Defined Rankings of 15 Games (+ a DLC) That They Played When They Weren't Watching Fox Videos I'm a Rainbow Elite now! Time to rank my time. Gnosia: the suffix "Gnosia" means knowledge, and I have the knowledge that this is the best game that I've played this year, you should too, especially if you've been watching any reality game shows on BBC 1 back in January, I think this'd be your kind of thing. Dredge: The seaweed started attacking me and I got scared and turned off my playstation. Inescapable: No Rules No Rescue (PS4): My first play-though ended up on a murder island, what the hell, we could have had a sexy island. The Artful Escape: You can name yourself "The Friendly Apricot," so that's already a plus, being batshit insane is the other major plus. Max: The Curse of Brotherhood: Well designed and fun, even if the story is a bit... crap (Yes I'm also calling the original Mario plots crap too, sue me.) Tinykin (PS4): One of the most pure collect-a-thon experiences out there I am Dead: I spy. But with ghost powers, really the only way it should be played tbh. Persona 5 Tactica: An easy tactical game, with a very good story and amazing music Dordogne: One of the most beautiful games I've ever played. A Juggler's Tale: Inside, but puppets, (That's not even an exaggeration, the plots are very similar) Foamstars: Splatoon, without the stick drift, or a bunch of the game modes Raji: An Ancient Epic (PS4): A fun but short game Dredge: The Pale Reach: The gap between this dlc and the main game is very funny to me, but I can't overstate how little I felt scared or even dread in this horror game expansion Clive 'N' Wrench (PS4): I like bunnies and I like collect-a-thons, together they produce an okay game. The Plane Effect: The further I get from this game, the less I can recall Resistance Retribution: There are PSP games I like, this isn't one of them. Popular Post Dezorak
in with another (and a slight reshuffle for future ones i been working on) Fallout 4 Think most of us have watched the show by now and i enjoyed it enough to make me finally complete this game (i originally played on pc up until i had to pick a side and stopped ) i enjoyed it for most part but can certainly tell its getting up there in age as combat in more recent games seems alot more fluid then fo4 (not a negative just a observation). also with the new content added for the recent game update i got to enjoy the perks of a X-02 power amour curtesy of the enclave and behaving like a jet riddled maniac killing deathclaws in 1 hit with a wrench in very hard mode and i loved every second of it. but yeah only thing i can add to that is another settlement needs your help so prob check it out now if you been putting it on ya backburner (next goal is prob ark or destiny 2 and continuing to grind away at monster hunter lol)

Popular Post Doodlebawp
Status update! I was going to wait until my first card was finished before posting here again, but Stellar Blade, Helldivers, and FF XIV have been keeping me from finishing my homework for yellow and maroon. Gris - Another indie side-scroller with puzzles. Great art. Great music. Okay puzzles. Generic story and theme (I'm in the minority with this opinion, try it for yourself). The game grew on me as I progressed through the story, but Gris just wasn't my cup of tea. To Hell With the Ugly - I was looking at point-and-click games on PSNP. After seeing this game's high Steam reviews, I bought it on a whim. I made the right call. An adventure puzzler with a VERY unique story. If you're wondering what it's about, here's a hilarious blurb about the source material - a French novel published in 1948: An erotic crime novel with science fiction tendencies, Sullivan's third outing is described by its translator as "a pornographic Hardy Boys novel set on the Island of Dr. Moreau to a be-bop soundtrack." The game isn't as risqué as the book may be, but the rest of the description is spot on. Really glad I gave this game a shot.

Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
I got a couple new games done. First I moved Tinykin over to Deep Purple to make space for Afterparty, which is a much better fit for purple. I loved Oxenfree a lot and bought Afterparty back when it came out. No idea why it took me so long to get to, but I’m glad I finally made time for it as I had a lot of fun. It’s very different to Oxenfree, especially since there aren’t really any mysteries to uncover, and, despite being set in literal Hell, there’s no horror elements either. It’s a much more relaxing game, all about doing a pub crawl to win your way back to life. I also had a lot of fun playing Arcade Paradise. Part laundrette manager simulator, part love letter to retro arcade cabinets, I became absolutely obsessed with this game. I even bought the dlc cabinets, despite no trophies being linked to them, and it has pride of place amongst RDR2 and Hitman 3 of being a permanent fixture on my ps4. It’s also a perfect fit for pink imo Last addition is Coffee Talk, a game I enjoyed my time with, but was ultimately a little disappointed. It’s a great game for relaxing with, the late night, rainy vibes are fantastic, but I was hoping for a little more game. There aren’t even really any dialogue choices to make. It looks like there might be more gameplay elements in the sequel and I enjoyed this one enough to eventually pick it up, perhaps for my next card Edited May 12 by Hurricane_Tanya

Popular Post Biscoito18
3rd Card 🌈🌈🌈 Starting my new card with some games completed earlier this year: - The Artful Escape, Stories Untold, Undertale and Untitled Goose Game are excellent (and short) indie games. I had the most fun especially with Untitled Goose Game. This goose is a complete maniac. It's a shame the game is so small and we still don't have a sequel; - Dodgeball Academia is a little rough but the gameplay is addictive and I have a special affection for it because it was made by my Brazilian compatriots who filled the game with small local references, especially involving the snacks available; - MediEvil is a strange case where I first played the remake and then played the original. The remake is very faithful and better in everything; - Martha is Dead: I liked it a lot more now than the first time when I got the plat of the PS4 version a few years ago. The excess of exposition and revelations in the final chapters is overwhelming, so I was able to understand and feel better the impact of many events by knowing in advance what was really happening. If LKA's previous game, "The Town of Light", is about the dehumanization of psychiatric treatments of yore, "Martha is Dead" is about the danger of leaving these people without treatment. There was no way out of that nightmare at that time; - Alone in the Dark: I was rooting so much for this new beginning to be successful after so many mediocre releases that I even pre-ordered it, and despite having loved several aspects of the game such as the clever puzzles, the beautiful Derceto mansion and its interesting occupants lurking around the corners, the well-written (and voiced) files, amazing visuals, the great acting of the main actors and crazy endings, it's impossible to deny the serious problems that ruin part of the experience: bugs, clunky combat, simplistic and boring exploration, overstuffed plot and, worst of all, the eternal feeling that it had the potential to be so much better than that. In the end, I still enjoyed the game and I think it deserves praise for having nailed some of the most difficult aspects of creating a survival horror; --- The Artful Escape --- --- --- --- Stories Untold --- MediEvil Untitled Goose Game Dodgeball Academia --- --- Alone in the Dark Martha is Dead Undertale

Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
Apologies for the double post here, but I just completed game #12! Promote me to Rainbow Warrior or maybe... Rainbow Dragoon!?!? That's right! Finished The Legend of Dragoon for Tan. It is like blood orange or tan if you ask me so I think it works just fine here (plus tan is kind of a tricky color). Though, it makes me want to get a better orange color to contrast with it better, but I think it looks fine (I'm like my own worst art critic, lol) Anyways, The Legend of the Dragoon is about a young man named Dart whose town gets attacked and his girlfriend gets kidnapped. He goes after her to save her and gets dragged into a war where he discovers his dragoon powers, join forces with a diverse cast of friends, and goes on a journey to end the war and save the planet from impending. You know, like any other classic hero. The story is really well-written, super interesting, and even though a lot of characters fit the stereotypical JRPG archetype (pervy old guy, the valiant knight, the mysterious character with their own motives, the comical girl, etc.), they all get their chance to shine and all fit into the story really well. I really enjoy stories that have interesting or unique concepts and does a good job of slowly building up the story and lore for a satisfying twist and a cathartic ending. I ended up using Dart, Rose, and Meru almost the entire game as Lavitz and those 3 were my favorite characters. The RPG elements with transformation and magic were really fun to use and later on, led to some really interesting tactics where I was able to steamroll through bosses pretty quickly which was super satisfying, despite being slightly underleveled the entire game. I wasn't a fan of how the experience was split up; it made it really difficult to grind levels so I really only fought enemies if I had to since the rewards from battle were so pitiful that it didn't feel like it was worth it. However, that's my only real gripe about the game in general. The last thing I want to mention is... WOW, this game has aged really, really well. Almost like fine wine, really. I never played the original on PS1, but I felt like the game mechanics, story, and animations/character models/etc. still hold up pretty well today. I think it has aged just as well as something like Final Fantasy VII, VIII, or IX just to give you all a comparison. If you enjoyed those games and like JRPGs, I would definitely recommend getting this one. It'll take a few hours to get into it, but once Rose joins the party, things start getting interesting imo. Next up: I'm not really sure. I'm kind of feeling Atelier Aeysha, but I don't think it fits anywhere here, but I also haven't really looked at the thumbnail either. I think it has a blonde-haired girl, but no idea about the background. I also might go back and finish some other games, but I don't think any of them would fit into this card. Here are my completed games for the events and what I would rank them from D tier (Crap game) to S tier (Godlike game). I am Setsuna - B The Legend of Dragoon - A Tinykin - C Kingdom of Paradise (Key of Paradise) - A Life is Strange: True Colors - B Medievil Resurrection - B Sea of Stars - A Omno - C The Gardens Between - A Siphon Filter 3 - B Resistance Retribution - C Elden Ring - S
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
First Card Complete! Box: Black Game: "Kentucky Route Zero" A strange, Lynchian, surrealist narrative game, wherein various odd characters with different stories to tell, end up on a road trip of sorts, trying to deliver a package in the strange twilight world around the "Kentucky Route Zero" - a mysterious, non-newtonian highway that exists, seemingly, outside of normal time and space. It's a cool, weird, dreamlike story, with killer writing, and a super cool story to boot - where everything is weird, but the tone is quite maudlin and low key, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. An obvious white-on-black one, so an easy fit for the Black box. Box: Grey Game: "Open Roads" A short family-melodrama / mystery Lite-Adventure game with a decent story, though a bit on the short side, and a bit lacking in real stakes or tension. There's a strange art style - mixing 2D, animated characters in a 3D rendered background - they both look good, though they don't always mesh together super well... ...and while the mystery is compelling enough, it does a feel a bit truncated and simplistic at times. This one might have worked for Black too, but given that the main lettering is Grey, and Kentucky route Zero is a VERY Black 'black" by contrast, I'm comfortable enough slotting this one into the Grey spot! Well, that's one card down - I do have a few games held over that were duplicated for slots on this one, so my 2nd card is already up and running, but will hold off on posting it for now to avoid clutter!
