I might have messed up…

I’m currently going for the Fox rank. I accidentally hit continue when I died instead of exit. However, I immediately quit the game and reloaded my last save before the death. 

 

Will that count as a continue? Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer.

No because there is no autosaves in this, only that checkpoint with the continue. As long as you didn't manual save after you died you should be good. Oh and btw do not kill the first 6 enemies in the first mandatory fight with Meryl, I ended up having to do another playthrough because I killed just 3 enemies past the limit.

You're still good. Just make sure to quit the game and load your save each time. The game doesn't register the continue because it doesn't auto save.

 

Same goes for mgs2 and mgs3.

Thank you both very much for the info. I was pretty sure that was the case but I wanted to double check.  I didn’t want a nasty surprise at the end. 😂
