Don't use chapter select

Hello all!

Just a little heads up for you guys, so you avoid huge amount of frustration.

So.. before starting with the game i've seen PowerPyx warning on how chapter select can mess up a lot of stuff. But i thought 'how bad can it be'. It's just 'chapter select'.

 

I did first run normalny, zero problems. In My second one i skipper few collectibles on a chapter and decided to straight restart it and have it all done. WRONG.

 

Here's what kind of bugs i encountered afterwards.

- i lost 3h of gameplay time because game decided not save my progress

- after hitting continue from my menu i got

teleported to last mission, except continue through chapter 6

-i stopped leveling up at lvl 21

-i wanted to replay differnt chapter but i couldnt start it from beggining. The game was starting it somewhere in the middle.

Never experienced something like this.

Now i deleted everything and starting from scratch. Looking good for now, but if i want platinum i need to do 2 playthroughs again.

10h gameplay lost.

Keep fingers crossed for me and NEVER touch chapter select

 I used chapter select to do clean up and don't remember any problems like this. It does suck to have to redo puzzles and that kind of stuff, though.

Better safe than sorry, I guess

I guess it's ok to use after you are done with your playtrhroughs, just to collect missing collectibles.

But when you use it in the middle of a playthrough it messes up everything.

I tkink if one backs up his  save file on the cloud after every Mission , it will save the Problem,,

"Same" thing happened to me, i just beat an entire run in max difficulty, and because i collect some collecibles with chapter select the trophy didn't pop up when i beat the game, now i have to beat the entire game again

Was on chapter 14 of evil run went into chapter select to do the trophy for beating felicity without ho dispenser and when I finished the chapter it made me go into ng++ instead of carrying on from where my run was

Sounds like the same nightmares I faced with Guardians of the Galaxy... 😞

I used the chapter select option after completing the story and had no problems with the game

This happened to me. After beating the game I wanted to go to chapter select and clean up some of the other trophies. Once you beat the game, the only option you have on that save is to start NG+.

 

Sounds like it's safer just to do the clean up with another run...
