poetic_justice_ Posted February 27 Share Posted February 27 (edited) After finishing an Extreme mission with 15 Rare samples and 22 Common samples, only the Samples Are a Diver's Best Friend (Extract with at least 15 rare samples) unlocked. PSN lists the Rare samples trophy as more commonly obtained than the Common samples trophy as well. Players are still earning Science Is Done By Quantity, but at a lower rate. Hopefully this is fixed in an upcoming patch. EDIT: The trophy description is poorly worded. One player (not the team) must extract while individually holding at least fifteen Common samples. This will unlock the trophy but only for that one individual. Thanks to other PSN members for the clarification. Common Samples you will need to be the one carrying 15 common samples. Rare samples it can be carried as a team with a total 15. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
poetic_justice_ Posted February 29 Author Share Posted February 29 (edited) For anyone else wanting to help teammates/friends acquire 15 Common samples for the trophy, all samples can be dropped by the other three players (without dying). Press and hold Down on the D-pad. A circular menu will open onscreen. While continuing to hold Down on the D-pad, press R3 to the upper right. Hold R3 in this position and release Down on the D-pad. Your Helldiver will drop any samples he/she is carrying and your friend can pick them up. This menu can also be used to drop support weapons and backpacks as well. The game does not mention this menu or its features; another player informed me about it. Using this item drop menu makes it much easier to farm this trophy with friends.
