MomedSafari
So the platinum is no longer obtainable since multiplayer doesn't work but I'm confused about why. Uncharted 2 and 3 both use the peer-to-peer system for their multiplayer mode which I thought meant that as long as people were searching for matches, you'd find a game since it doesn't need a server. How come the multiplayer is broken; I thought peer-to-peer games have an infinite lifespan? Anyone smarter than me can clear up my confusion please? sepheroithisgod
If I understand it right, peer-to-peer are free in a sense, but they still have costs associated with them. Thus, while they will have a longer lifespan, it is not infinite.
tapantaola
p2p games have a centralized matchmaking server. It's not like Bitcoin or BitTorrent which require no server at all... Maybe gamers should demand a decentralized blockchain-based solution for matchmaking.
Remilia Scarlet
@DrBloodmoney answered this in 2022. Tldr the game was peer to peer but it still required a hosted server to find games.
