UPDATE: Coin-Op Collector trophy fixed! (formely glitched, now fixed thanks to the latest patch)

After spending a few hours trying to grind out the gems, and I have finally soon realized that something is not right for me. And I hate to say this, but the Coin-op Collector (bronze) trophy is glitched and unobtainable. First, I have 5,000 gems in my hand, but it didn't worked. I end up counting many gems I happened to collect on paper, and it's the same problem no matter how good you collect many gems. In other words, this trophy has been glitched since after it's release.

I'll report this issue to the developers and hopefully they'll respond. I guess I'll end up trying to beat level 5 in Classic mode or just playing a different title. So sad for a game with relatively challenging trophy list. I have fallen into the same trap as Luftrausers and TxK (judging by its trophy list, w/ one or two trophies being unobtainable). I feel bad (including myself) for many people who are trying to earn trophies and hoping to be attainable.

The version I have played is the Vita. This issue probably exists on all three platforms in both regions.

UPDATE (6/5): The trophy 'Coin-op Collector' is now fixed (thanks to the latest patch)!! We like to thank the user The-Man-In-Black for confirmation of the update. Now, I'm off to earn a 100% on every platform!!

Agh, a good number of devs having these sort of issues with trophies recently! Additionally, this game has 6 lists (which is annoying on its own), so I guess they will have to fix all six lists   lol

I fell into the same trap.  I collected over 5000 gems on the PS4 version of Q*bert Rebooted (over 6000 actually) and was not awarded the Coin-op Collector trophy either.  Stayed up late to try to get that trophy because I didn't want to play another gem collecting session again.  Very annoying.  I sent the company an email explaining the problem as well.  Along with a few other bugs that this, and the Vita version of this game has!  I'll post back if I hear anything back from them.

I had the same issue on the PS3 and Vita.  I'm at about 10K gem points total collected so far and have hit 5K points twice.

Still glitched for me and I even got the game and didnt start playing it till post patch... Got all costumes then 2600 gems. Still nothing. Sitting at over 5000 gems with all costumes... still nothing. This game sucks ballsacks. Fixed coin op collector trophy my dick. What a crock of shit.

 

So not only did I waste my time collecting gems, but I even started a new save and got OVER 5000 gems and still nothing. Wtf is up with this bullshit? Avoid this game like the plague. It sucks.
