I've had the same happen to me the past two days, but I just assumed it was NetherRealm Studios having trouble with their online servers. The Faction War page was down for a bit yesterday and came back up after some time, so I think it's a safe bet to say that a few online kinks are being worked out. It's only the game's first week after all. Now, if there's someone who has had absolutely no issue connecting to any of the online features, then I really don't know what's wrong.
