Most of the time it will tell me a game has already started and then sometimes when I think it's connecting, it goes to a black screen and I can't seen anything but can still make button inputs. Anyone else having this issue? as you enter the multiplayer? I have only two options in the menu. game continues, and friends. Xemik Posted January 18, 2020 Share Posted January 18, 2020 Ok, so this is an old thread, but I trust my comment will be useful for newcomers. To play locally you only need each layer to be logged on to the PS4 and then simply press to join. AFAICT you can only play online by inviting friends, but here's the rub - ALL players must have PS+. For example, if you have two local players in the 'lobby', you can't go online with one has PS+ , but the other doesn't. Nor is there any way of joining an active game. You have to quit out all the way, then invite/join in a new game. This shouldn't affect your progress; this seems to be saved locally. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
