Am I correct in assuming that when purchasing 3+ month PS Plus subscription you don't need to enter in credit card details?

If you use these cards which have 12 numbers/letters, then you don't need to enter your credit card information. If the 3 month are over it changes back to a normal account without ps+

You can even purchase the one month without having the card details, just use a prepaid card instead pf the codes they give for one free month. Or remove the info when you are done and set auto renewal to off.

My only problem is I don't intend to use it for my local account. Planning on getting a Japanese account, and checked Play-Asia which doesn't seem to have pre-paid cards for JP. Probably should've included that in my Q -.-

Play Asia does have Japanese PSN cards. From what I understand, that's what you're looking for.
