A few things you might want to know if you're thinking about buying it.

 

- The load times are dire. It takes FOREVER to load into and out of missions. Also the frame rate is crap in places.

- Graphically takes a hit but that's to be expected.

- You can't seem to be able to zoom out during the missions which is a bit of a strategic hindrance (maybe I just haven't figured out how to do it yet though) (EDIT: you pinch the screen like an iPhone)

 

Otherwise it's the Enemy Within experience and I got it for gaming on the throne. And its fulfilling that well thus far.

Thanks mate, went and bought it on my Vita as soon as I read this. Can't wait for it to finish downloading so I can get shot by thin men though full cover where ever I want!

Makes sense it has crappy optimization, it's non-JP game on Vita

 

Anyway, as much as I appreciate games on Vita for wider audience, if you want portable XCom, I would suggest tablet version.

Yup out in US too....shame not Cross Buy.

 

Mostly because I have the PS+ pS3 version....would have loved to plat this on my vita.

It's available in the PSN store in Hong Kong as well. BUT I have come across some sort of glitch.

 

In the base, the game won't respond to the exit button (X in Asia/ O in the West). As such I can't exit engineering after ordering the construction of some equipment, or leaving MISSION CONTROL to check the Barracks. I already lost several days in my first game, unable to build new facilities or move one of my interceptors. So DISSAPOINTING.

 

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

 

UPDATE:

 

Started a new playthrough with the tutorial disabled. Base controls work properly now.
