Kittens Are Awesome
I'm not sure if this has been brought up or not, but I didn't find this suggestion anywhere. Why don't we have an acknowledgement button for making new threads, say for instance, somebody who has less than 50 posts. A couple of short bullet points they have to check to make a thread. A couple of ideas: I am not making this thread to... Boost online trophies Game share accounts Sell trophy service Hack trophies Etc Just something that popped into my head since we seem to get bombarded with these types of threads by green beans to the site.
STFUxDxD
Similar ideas have been suggested here and also here. I agree though, something needs to be implemented to reduce the frequency of those types of threads you mentioned (especially boosting threads). I like the idea you suggested about manually checking off a list before a new thread can be started. I think it's fair to require members with less than 50 posts to do this. Members with more than 50 posts should already know better.
Beyondthegrave07
I second this idea. But don't forget the infamous"I want friends" thread. We have like every version of a friend thread for every system. That one makes me facepalm almost as much as a boosting or "tattletale" (hacking) thread. It's like the 3 headed noob dog.
