I remember hearing that one of the Popes said that Pokemon is alright due to teaching kids about friendship and that sort of stuff a while back. Just keep that in mind when dealing with people complaining about it.

Whenever something bad happen like a shooting there's always someone who blames video game instead of the actual shooter,maybe that's there defense in court or something, It's a bit pathetic really...

Fun fact, their headquarters is in the city I just moved away from. I swear the two aren't connected.

Yeah, that was Pope John Paul II.  The hilarious thing is that ever since I found out about this, I'd always imagine him playing the game with the other cardinals in their down time.   I think most of the concerns about pokemon being demonic came from Protestant denominations, though, since I always heard complaints about it from Pentecostal, Evangelical and Baptist cicles, but almost never from Catholics.  Gotta admit though, a lot of the "complaints" were hilarious, like metapod supposedly being a "Muslim crescent" and it somehow meaning that Gamefreak endorsed radical Islam.
