Don't worry, this is CodeMasters. They will release 4 DLC packs, with 1 new track and 2 new cars in each pack, for only $10 per pack. Content FTW.

I just canceled my order as well. I know it's possible to get the plat by the time. But i really don't trust these developers either with their DLC'S bombarding us and milking the game out like crazy. Who knows how many DLC will be released. Even the game is 29.99 not bad for a price, but i don't wanna put more money into the game for useless DLC that's not worth my time like Goat Simulator. Unless they put a fair price for all the packs in one price. Game looks fun though, maybe should get the game 6+ months later.
