co-op trophy question

Okay, so I see a lot of people start out this game by completing the 9th chapter along with getting normal and hard difficulty trophy. This is of course very suspect, and I pretty much know why. The only question I got is if this can be done legitimately with the co-op feature? When playing local co-op split screen, can you select a second local PSN account? This many would do to avoid having to play through entire game on hard.

 

 

 

This video gives me the impression you can't earn trophies for the second local PSN account when playing co-op, because it never asks you about selecting a second user. This is correct, right?

 

(and fuck me, the audio in that video is absolutely horrendous...)

Your suspicions are absolutely correct -- only player 1 gets the trophies. This game doesn't have a mechanism for the second player to log into their account. They can only play as a guest, so there would be no way for the game to even know who the second player is.
