Game Save - Physical to Digital

I played the disc version of this game years ago.  Recently I thought I would go back to it and get the platinum as I had only a few trophies left to get.

 

Unfortunately my disc drive on my ps3 is broken. 

 

My game save is still on my console in cloud storage yet when I load up my digital copy (which I bought) it doesn't recognise that save.

 

Anyone have any tips on how to get this to work? 

 

I did try and copy it to the memory on the ps3 rather than cloud storage, but no luck.

 

Are game saves not compatible between digital and physical copies?

Some games have indeed different saves between digital and physical game. There is nothing you can do , is not first time i heard a physical save is not compatibel with digital version.

I experienced this a few years back as well. And it was in fact with A Crack in Time, no kidding. Nothing worked for me, so I went a bought a new physical copy of CiT.

I would get a cheap physical copy of Crack in Time no problem, but my disc drive is broken.

 

Oh well I wasted £10.99 on the digital copy or i'll have to play through the whole game again.

Ah, thought your disc was broken. Yeah, if I were you I would invest in a preowned PS3 where the disc drive works so you could transfer your save data to the new PS3 and continue playing on that one.
