Don't Die more than 5 times

I wanted to do a knowledge share - I have confirmed it is okay to quit, upload your save, and download your save and you can still get the Typoman trophy (as of patch 1.04, I make no claim on future patches). If you have beaten the game you can chapter select the very first option for the prologue, play through to the end, and get it. However, the guide I followed suggested you could quit or retry when about to die and it wouldn't count as one of your five deaths. This is both true and false - if you are about to die by falling, this works fine. But if an enemy has caught you, stabbed you etc, even if you haven't 'died' yet, it counts as a death.

 

So in short - it's ok to quit or retry when in the process of making a bad jump.

It is not ok to quit after being in any way given a fatal touch by an enemy. Even if your character hasn't vanished/respawned yet you are counted as dead.

Yeah I tried retrying when I got shot and didn't get the trophy

 

I beat the boss without getting hit but I got hit a couple of times at stupid points. Well I will try again. I don't want to save scum as that is really annoying and the game is so short it shouldn't be too bad to do in 1 playthrough

This game is wildly inconsistent and glitchy. Without save loading this would be a bit tough. I just played and died 8 times only 3 of which were my fault. Good game but definitely has some issues when trying for this one
