Freeze issue

After I finished sequence 5, I need to play as Desmond (present day) but it's freezing every time whatever I'm doing. I can't progress. What can I do now? Is there a fix?

If your playing on the Pro try putting the boost option off in settings and try it. I've had those problems when i played AC liberation but didnt encounter such problems in AC3. Also u could try disconnecting the net and finish that mission then reconnect again.

Try playing offline. Certain AC games are known to have issues with the UPlay system whilst you're connected to PSN so playing offline will fix the problem.

Thanks, but that didnt work.

 

I gave it a try after reinstalling the game and it is running fine now. I'm not sure if reinstalling did the trick or turning HDR off did it. I read somewhere that the HDR may be the problem, but the person was playing on PS5. I'm on PS4 Slim.
