... is this a good point to jump in? It looks fun and I've eyed these games in the past but I never pulled the trigger.

Haha, good to know you like it. Ryza can be a good start since it's the first game in a new trilogy. You can try also Atelier Sophie, Firis and Lydie and Suelle if you want more Atelier games without time limite.

I'm definitely interested in playing more Atelier games once I'm done with this one! I'll check those out. What is the "time limit"? Is it like Stardew Valley where you can only be out for so long? (As opposed to how Ryza works where time only advances when you go to a new area or fast travel).

I had Valkyrie Aurora's "Introduction to Atelier" video on Youtube running in the background while I worked yesterday as I am interested in the series myself. From her description and me only half paying attention, it seems there might be an overall time limit on some of the earlier games and if you run over, you get a bad ending. Anyway, you might want to check out the vid as well - perhaps it will help you choose your next Atelier game.

I'm not a big fan of ending-changing time limits like that, but I don't mind small ones like Stardew Valley where you just have to manage your time more efficiently. But we'll see! Thanks again.
