Endings guide

Trophy guide gives conditions to get the endings but it's still hard to get them if you don't know answers that make Quinn tilt.

I've done 6 playthroughts so far and I wanted to share with you the strategy I used to get ending #6. This strategy can be used for ending #1 and main finale (and presumably #4) by adjusting the answers affecting your bonding from chapter 19. Just be careful at your bonding meter.

And here is how I got ending #2. I made a few changes in the answers for #6 (*) and I tried being away near the end but it didn't affect the bonding level.

How I got ending #3. I made a few adjustments from playthrough for #2 (*). I took the risks of rising the bonding meter because I had inconstencies on the impacts on it from the two previous documented playthroughs and I wanted to be the more precise as possible to get an understanding on how it works. I edited them accordingly. I'll use the same strategy for ending #5 which requires an away time of more than 24 hours.

I confirm that #5 is obtainable by following the route for #3 above. When I got back I had lost 2 points on bonding level (my wild guess is that you lose 1 every 12 away hours), which makes to end at stranger 2, which is enough to get the ending without changing answers.

Here's a guide I found on Steam. The diagrams are quite useful because they show all possible dialogue options and their effects on Quinn for every chapter. I used the diagrams for my platinum playthrough and I can confirm that the effects are the same for the PS4 version.

One last thing: Some answers increase/decrease the trust/bonding meter more than others. For example, when you pick the "Photos?" option in chapter 23, you lose a good chunk of your bonding level, so always make sure to check your stats after every answer.

Thank you very much for your efforts @Wyz94

 

I can also confirm that you get ending #5 by playing your route for #3 and staying away a long time. The guide here on psnprofiles states >24 hours, I started this route many weeks ago (without any choice made) and didn't play in the meantime which led to an away timer of 99 hours (the maximum).

 

I was able to follow the route while getting #5 without your described break in between which could mean that it doesn't matter when exactly the away time takes place. 

 

Edits due to additional pieces of information:

 

- ending #3 worked like a charm as well with your guide 

 

- manually adjusting the time forward in the Vita - settings does increase the away time, this way you don't have to wait in real life 

 

- route to ending #2 was perfect, just like the one for #6

 

- in order to reach alternative ending #1 I used the guide for the corresponding achievement over at Trueachievements, I didn't encounter any problems

 

- the last trophy I was missing was "Better Together", I also checked the steam guide (thank you @Sillshez15!), played one more run and chose the answers which gave me "+Bound", unlocking this trophy when the credits rolled; I've had like 20 seconds away time in this run 

 

-IIRC I got the main finale while doing what the guide said, minimising away time; there's an English guide for the main finale over at TA

Final edit: The described approaches also worked with the AS-cartrdige, I didn't encounter any issues. 

 

What you can do to save time once the credits roll (of course after your trophy has been earned) is to close the application on Vita, start the game again, start a new game, wait until the introductory music plays, close the app again, restart it and then start a new game again. This will then start a fresh route. Unfortunately the starting cutscene isn't visible when you restart the app for the first time, therefore that's required twice. I think that this method could be a bit quicker than waiting for the credits to roll completely.
