Can I create new Islands?

Can I create new Islands in one playthrough? I saw an option in the main menue, but I don't want to destroy my save. So is it possible to respawn new single Islands near my homeisland to collect all stuff etc? Thank you.

Yes, you can. And it won’t affect your current campaign, I did it on my 20+ hour save file with no issues. 
 

However I recommend not doing it until you have unlocked the Trophies Another one bites the dust and A little less lonely. When you use a custom island you replace one already in the game, and if you replace one that has an item attached to the previous trophies, it’s not known yet whether that will remove the item permanently from the game or simply move it to another island.

Once I started to face the bosses, it started to freeze when I was trying to save it, so I had to defeat the Meg twice. 

Before the boss fights, it never freeze once.
