Can I play The Crew 2 alone without PlayStation Plus?

Google says yes, Ubisoft support says no. Can anyone who plays The Crew 2 without a PlayStation Plus subscription give me the definitive answer?

I had the same question because I have 14 days left of PSNow and I will earn the "online" trophies and thenI buy the game physically to plat it

What I read is that the game requires internet connection, but not neccessary PS Plus. Plus is for coop 

 

Anyway I want someone to confirm me if this platinum is achievable without PLUS except for the 4 trophies that requires coop?

Can I play the game without PS Plus?

My PS PLUS had ended in February, but I was able to log into the game normally and even see other players in the free roam.
But I can't say if you can play in a group without a Plus subscription, but I don't believe it's possible.

 

I had already done the 2 trophies that someone else needed last year, I currently play this game for fun even after platinum.

You should be able to play solo without PS Plus.

 

When I tried Co-op it would take me to the PS Plus PSN store page.
