ratchan
Had to google search who they were. After the failure of Epic Mickey 2, and little knowledge of who they are, I can see why they are closing down. On the plus side, 50 people that worked for them will still have their jobs. AndroidFox
The games industry in the UK is on life support at the moment, and it's only a matter of time until they switch it off.

rwnica
Not trying to be a douche or anything, but I never even heard of those guys before, and I cant recall playing anything they made, so not big news for me, but overall it is sad seeing another games company going out of business . AndroidFox
well theres always travellers tales, criterion, crytek, double eleven, hello games, ninja theory, and rocksteady (Rare may already be considered done for) You forgot other studios like Rockstar North, Codemasters and Crystal Dynamics, also Crytek are German but they have a studio based in the UK. Thing is it's impossible to come fresh out of university and get a job at any of these studios because they require staff with around 5 years experience in the industry, and it's difficult to get that experience because smaller developers who don't require any experience to work for are getting shut down. So it makes getting a job here really hard which is why so many people relocate to Canada or the US, which then negatively impacts the big UK studios. So yeah, the industry here is on decline and will continue to get worse. Edited September 12, 2013 by AndroidFox
