In-game tracking list working or not?

Hi everyone,

I am worried about the in-game tracking list progression. Is the game says that an animal has been skinned, is it 100% sure it has been actually skinned?

I have a feeling that sometimes, the game considers in the tracking list that an animal has been skinned once it has been studied (particular doubts on snakes to be thorough).

Maybe I am wrong or it is a (RDO) patch issue. 

Just to know if I have to have my own list and skin again every animal (in my list it should remain only 2 pets to be studied // but not skinned).

I have done my fair share of tinkering with animal tracking and have not heard about this particular issue. If it says it's skinned, it should be skinned.

 

You can also double check using web compendium.

@HusKy: I have seen that you had made a list (given through NCIS guide here). I will probably use it to check what I am missing. 

in my case, I was missing two snakes in the small islands South East of Shady Belle. I observed one and skinned the other // Then the game told me I had observed and skinned both : it is okay for me if it counts but it is definetely weird.
