Can it be done solo, or no?

I like the look of this game very much, and it's part of the January sale, but I would want to attempt it solo.  Is a solo platinum run doable?

if i remember correctly, the difficulty doesnt increase with # of people, so on bananas having like 3 or 4 people makes it a breeze.  solo on the other hand i think is so bad that some boss fights are almost entirely luck that you'd win, so it would be a pretty bad idea. 

 

also you need multiple people for the revives & teamkills anyways, so theres not much point in trying solo
