amebapiko
Well, I know, it's only a small fraction of us with Sub-accounts but you really can't help seeing how Sony does not accommodate or support the use of Sub Accounts in the long run. With PS4 just around the corner this issue has been brought up in my mind and it seems Sony isn't willing to upgrade Subs to masters even if they are 18 years of age. I'd expect it to be a simple bit of programming and a small amount of effort to help people with Subs upgrade, give the ability for the master account to upgrade the sub once the holder is 18, giving permission to turn the account into a master account.Sadly all Sony has said is basically no, make a new master account... weeztha
I have multiple sub accounts and They dont have much restrictions at all, I can watch movies/netflix, go to any websites no problems. Unless the master account has put restrictions on that sub account. Being that im over 18 Ive never put restrictions on any of my sub accounts. Only thing my sub account cant do is add/delete other accounts from the XMB menu. Just like on a computer there is only one master account. I really dont understand why you think this is a problem. Like you said in the OP you can make a new master account but cant have 2 at once. What are you trying to do on your sub account thats making you wish it was a master account?? I'm not saying my account is restricted but wouldn't it be considerate of Sony if you have grown up with one account and they let you to turn it into a master? Plus I'd rather keep going with trophies on this account.

It a bit sad but my sub account isn't that bad its just PS3 trophies can't sync to facebook (ridiculous since fb's minimum age is for 13 years olds and my sub is over 18 and on vita its all fine, ps3 psn is messed up slightly)and some minor complications when funding the wallet.
