Google Nexus 5 or ii. LG Optimus G2 Let me hear your thoughts and insights as I intend to upgrade my current smartphone. Thank you in advance guys! It runs android 4.4 kitkat and is one of the few devices that are released that will support it. Nexus 4, Galaxy S4 and HTC One google play editions, some sony phones, and the nexus 7 tablet are the only other devices that will officially support 4.4 kitkat (Of course, there will be more in the future). Nexus devices get their updates first. I have a nexus 7 tablet and it's really a great device. I can't wait to get a nexus 5. EDIT: Apparently the G2 is also getting kitkat.
