Sendai-Horatio
You can AFK this if you have a turbo controller Reassign the buttons for team switching and the dream finisher to something like X and Square and just have the controller spam those two buttons for hours on end in survival, you'll usually make it to stage 15-18 and when you get KO'd the game will just start back up another match in survival. I'm already up to 224,000 and I started a few hours ago from 100,000 yesterday. I don't think cumulative wins in survival increase the amount of gold per win that much the higher you go, so two rounds of 18 matches takes less time to do than 36 consecutive wins and it doesn't require you being there. I would also recommend having the turbo button at the slowest speed since that allows you to keep switching and letting the dream finisher from both characters go off. I've been using double Athena to AFK survival. Mind you, you can deduct around 35k from doing the 7 single player runs and 5,000 from the 50 Vs matches which means in total you only need 460,000 This is more profitable than just doing vs matches with a turbo controller. After a few hours I only had like 8k in gold from that. Edited May 11, 2021 by Sendai-Horatio
FinalFan
As I took time to screenshot my various results, I think I guessed how you earn money from survival mode. A single match is worth 200. Every 5 wins, there is a bonus match that grants you an interesting amount of money. Still the better method to grind that money needed to reach the 500 000 to unlock the trophy. Just do your best and the game will reward you. ? 18 9100 (losing against Kukri) 19 9300 20 12 300 (+3000) 21 12 500 22 12 700 23 12 900 24 13 100 25 16 600 (+3500) 26 16 800 27 17 000 28 17 200 29 17 400 30 21 400 (+4000) 31 21 600 32 21 800 33 22 000 34 22 200 35 26 700 (+4500) 36 26 900 (the best I reached) Spoiler And so on... I guess you earn +5000 if you happen to win 40 consecutive matches.
KOREANBasket
Most effective method is gamble battle, but you need a account have a lot money, more than 250,000. At gamble, each player can bet 500~1000. if both bet 1000, winner earns 2000 and loser loses 1000. And at gamble battle, you can rematch. In my case, it took about 40~50 min. that earned 100,000 with my friend. Edited October 1, 2021 by KOREANBasket

Just want to point out that if you and a partner want to trade wins, it is possible to use this method without a lot of gold built up. Every player starts with 2,000 gold when they first launch the game. If players take turns, they will each lose 1,000 and gain 2,000 every two battles if they max out the wager. After 100 battles, each player will have an additional 50,000 gold within the game, but they will actually each be 100,000 gold closer to the trophy since the gold spent when a player loses a match still counts toward the trophy. This will take longer than one player draining anothers gold with consecutive wins, but it's still probably faster than any single-player method.
