Online titles roadmap for Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi

This game has five online trophies, of which three are awarded for participating in battles and two are awarded for unlocking titles. Therefore, our goal regarding trophies will be to play thirty games and unlock thirty titles.

 

On the one hand, as for the thirty games, there will be no problem, since some more will be necessary. So this part we have covered.

 

On the other hand, there are the titles... and this is where we must pay attention to avoid having to do more fights than needed. This game brings 100 online titles. None can be unlocked offline, as was the case in Raging Blast 2.

 

There will be 100 fights in total; the first 50 will be won by player 1 and the other 50 will be won by player 2.

 

Here the titles that will be won throughout the boosting session:

 

01: Win 10 battles

02: Win 25 battles

03: Win 50 battles

04: Win 5 battles in a row

05: Win 10 battles in a row

06: Lose 3 battles in a row

07: Earn 5 losses

08: Earn 10 losses

09: Earn 15 losses

10: Earn 20 losses

11: Earn 25 losses

12: Win 20 times total with a super attack

13: Win 20 times total with an ultimate attack

14: Win 5 times with the Kamehameha

15: Win 5 times with the Dodon Ray

16: Win 10 times with a perfect victory

17: Successfully perform clashes 50 times total

18: Successfully perform 100% of the clashes in a single battle

19: Be in melee range 80% of the time in one battle

20: Be in blast range 80% of the time in one battle

21: Defeat saiyan characters 20 times (custom heroes don’t count)

22: Defeat members of Frieza's army 20 times (Vegeta and Nappa don’t count)

23: Use Goku 20 times in online battles

24: Use Vegeta 20 times in online battles

25: Use Bardock 20 times in online battles

26: Use Dodoria 20 times in online battles

27: Lose 5 saiyan vs. saiyan battles (custom heroes don’t count)

28: Fight in Wasteland 30 times

29: Fight in Rocky Land 30 times

30: Fight in Namek 30 times

 

It would be advisable to complete the story mode before doing the online part of the game, in order to have everything unlocked (characters, stages, super/ultimate attacks). In addition to getting used to the controls and the development of the fights as well, to avoid stops and problems during the boosting session.

 

So, having clarified the theoretical part, below I leave you the roadmap to get all the titles mentioned above.

 

— 1 — First 20 battles: P1 as Goku wins 20 times using the Kamehameha super attack (right stick up or down) in Wasteland stage against P2 as Vegeta (without touching the controller at all during the battles). Choose the same stage all the time cause you need 30 fights in Wasteland and at the end of this step you should have 20/30 Wasteland battles.

 

P1 will get here 12 titles:

• Win 10 battles
• Win 5 battles in a row
• Win 10 battles in a row
• Win 20 times total with a super attack
• Win 5 times with the Kamehameha
• Win 10 times with a perfect victory
• Successfully perform clashes 50 times total
• Successfully perform 100% of the clashes in a single battle
• Be in melee range 80% of the time in one battle
• Be in blast range 80% of the time in one battle
• Defeat saiyan characters 20 times (custom heroes don’t count)
• Use Goku 20 times in online battles

 

P2 will get here 7 titles:

• Lose 3 Battles in a row
• Earn 5 losses
• Earn 10 losses
• Earn 15 losses
• Earn 20 losses
• Use Vegeta 20 times in online battles
• Lose 5 saiyan vs. saiyan battles (custom heroes don’t count)

 

— 2 — Next 20 battles: P1 as Bardock wins 20 times using an ultimate attack (pressing R3 with full charged Ki) against P2 as Dodoria (without touching the controller at all during the battles) in Wasteland 10 times (30/30) and then change map to Rocky Land for the last 10 battles (10/30).

 

P1 will get here 5 titles:

• Win 25 battles
• Win 20 times total with an ultimate attack
• Defeat members of Frieza's army 20 times (Vegeta and Nappa don’t count)
• Use Bardock 20 times in online battles
• Fight in Wasteland 30 times

 

P2 will get here 3 titles:

• Earn 25 losses
• Use Dodoria 20 times in online battles
• Fight in Wasteland 30 times

 

Now the two first steps again, but changing positions and stages too:

 

— 3 — Next 20 battles: P2 as Goku wins 20 times using the Kamehameha super attack (right stick up or down) against P1 as Vegeta (without touching the controller at all during the battles) in the stage Rocky Land (30/30).

 

P1 will get here 8 titles:

• Lose 3 Battles in a row
• Earn 5 losses
• Earn 10 losses
• Earn 15 losses
• Earn 20 losses
• Use Vegeta 20 times in online battles
• Lose 5 saiyan vs. saiyan battles (custom heroes don’t count)
• Fight in Rocky Land 30 times

 

P2 will get here 13 titles:

• Win 10 battles
• Win 5 battles in a row
• Win 10 battles in a row
• Win 20 times total with a super attack
• Win 5 times with the Kamehameha
• Win 10 times with a perfect victory
• Successfully perform clashes 50 times total
• Successfully perform 100% of the clashes in a single battle
• Be in melee range 80% of the time in one battle
• Be in blast range 80% of the time in one battle
• Defeat saiyan characters 20 times (custom heroes don’t count)
• Use Goku 20 times in online battles
• Fight in Rocky Land 30 times

 

— 4 — Next 20 battles: P2 as Bardock wins 20 times using an ultimate attack (pressing R3 with full charged Ki) against P1 as Dodoria (without touching the controller at all during the battles) in Namek (20/30).

 

P1 will get here 2 titles:

• Earn 25 losses
• Use Dodoria 20 times in online battles

 

P2 will get here 4 titles:

• Win 25 battles
• Win 20 times total with an ultimate attack
• Defeat members of Frieza's army 20 times (Vegeta and Nappa don’t count)
• Use Bardock 20 times in online battles

 

Finally, the last 10 battles each:

 

— 5 — Next 10 battles: P1 as Tenshinhan wins 10 times using the Dodon Ray super attack against P2 as Android #17 (without touching the controller at all during the battles) in Namek (30/30).

 

P1 will get here 3 titles:

• Win 50 battles
• Win 5 times with the Dodon Ray
• Fight in Namek 30 times

 

P2 will get here 1 title:

• Fight in Namek 30 times

 

— 6 — Last 10 battles: P2 as Tenshinhan wins 10 times using the Dodon Ray super attack against P1 as Android #17 (without touching the controller at all during the battles) in Ruined Namek (10/30).

 

P1 will not get any title here.

 

P2 will get here 2 titles:

• Win 50 battles
• Win 5 times with the Dodon Ray

Well, if I remember correctly, everything can be completed in about eight hours (four hours per player). But it will depend on several factors, such as how quickly both players configure their preferences for the next game or the connection quality between them.

 

In the best case, each player would need between three and four hours each (six to eight hours total).

 

In the worst case, the process could take between five or six hours per player, for a total of between ten and twelve hours. Obviously, if the connection quality and/or the speed of the players involved is even poorer, the whole process could take a longer time.

 

In any case, if you don’t intend to speed up the process too much, it’s advisable not to stress too much about doing everything too quickly. It’s better to take it easy; slowly but surely. Lower the sound a lot or even mute the TV, and put on some music or talk by voice with the other player involved, to better manage the boosting session and be entertained in the process.

 

Be warned that the game servers can give a connection error from time to time during the fights, losing everything done during that last fight. The connection error could occur from the beginning of the fight or even in the results screen at the end. Keep this in mind. In my experience, sometimes my partner ( @Mikel ) and I were able to do about twenty fights in a row without the servers throwing an error, while other times, we were getting that error a couple of times in a row.

I didn't want to start my own thread so I guess I'll necro this one. Just as a fair warning to anyone wanting to still get the online done...servers are pretty terrible for me. I'm self boosting this and I get the disconnection error every other match. I can do one match with no issues and then my next match will 99.9% of the time give me the disconnection. Repeating that pattern as long as I'll tolerate it. 

 

I am about 9 titles shy now of being done so hoping to power through it but just wanted to let anyone else possibly looking into this of my issue. I'm not sure if others have had the same experience.

Not sure how late I am to this if I’ll get an answer or maybe I’ll figure it out and let someone know in the future, but can you complete these online matches just in a private match? Or do you need to find your boosting partner online somehow?

As far as I can remember, you need to play against other players online. I suspect that if you play in private —I don’t even remember if that option was available— the titles will not be unlocked.

Tuesday, October 3, 2023: the game servers for Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi are still available.

 

Last month I have been revisiting Dragon Ball: Raging Blast and Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 and, in both titles, their online sections also work correctly.
