Popular Post Rapid-Richy
Stellar track 1 of 5 World Map and Introduction An admiral is obtained by eliminating all enemies in the efficient way. Meaning you could clear all enemies but because you wasted too much energy or too many stardates you might not get an admiral rank. This save scummy method takes away all skill and rng away from getting this trophy. PS plus is required and an additional USB drive is recommended but not essential. Let’s begin…. The galaxy of this game is a 6x6 grid. Each point of this grid is known as a quadrant. **Get your self a pen and paper and mark out your own 6x6 grid like the one below….. We will be using it as our ‘world Map’ for our trophy run.** Stellar Track 2 of 5 Long Range scan There are two types of scan long range scan and short range scan. For now we will focus on long range scan. A long range scan will scan the quadrants around you. Look at the picture below….. The player is in the centre of the scanned area. The first number of scanned area is the number of enemies the second is the number of stardates. We can see that there are no stardates but there are five enemies. Two to our left, two to our top left and one directly above us. The first part of our trophy prep will be flying around the galaxy noting the location of all these enemies on our world map. Stellar Track 3 of 5 Movement and Stardate system You move around the galaxy by selecting warp. It will first ask you for a course. The course is the direction you want to travel in. Each of the 8 directions is represented by a number, see the picture below….. **I highly recommend keeping a copy of this with our paper ‘world Map’ for reference*** OK,so for example if we wanted to travel to the left we would select 7 as our course. Next is time to select your factor. This is two numbers the first is the number of quadrants you want to move. The second is the sector inside that quadrant. Don’t worry about the second number for now. So let’s say we want to move 2 quadrants to the left. We select 7 as our course and 2 as our first number in factor. Moving two quadrants will use two stardates. What are stardates? Well they serve two purposes the ones that spawn on your map are used to replenish ammo and energy. They also act as a move counter. So a game with 19 stardates means a game with a maximum of 18 possible quadrant jumps before game over. Little side note if you select your course and and factor and the ship doesn’t move there is something blocking your path therefore you will have to move around it. Now you know how to move around it’s time to fill in our ‘world map’ by warping around the galaxy doing LR scans. This may take two runs. **Start a new game and make a note of how many enemies you have chosen to hunt down the guide’s recommendation of 12 enemies and 19 stardates will do fine. Once your game starts quickly do a LR scan. You will see a screen similar to the one below. Quit out and make a scum save to the cloud and to USB if available. This is the save file we will be using for our run. Our next job is to fly around the galaxy doing LR scans and marking the locations of the enemies and stardates on our paper ‘world map’. The enemies will always be in these same quadrants which eliminates the need to LR scan on our trophy run because we know exactly where the enemies are. Once finished you will have something that looks like this…... Double check you have the correct number of enemies and we are nearly ready. Revert back to your scummed save before attempting your trophy run** Stellar Track 4 of 5 Combat When you warp into a quadrant with enemies inside you will get a red status screen instead of a green one. This is when we will use our short range scan. The SR scan will show us an 8x8 grid with the location of any enemies, stardates, obstacles and of course our own ship. It looks like the picture below….. There are two ways to attack enemies photons and phasers. Photons are best, they work like missiles and insta kill the enemy. When you select photon it will ask you for a course, if you’re ship isn’t in a position to hit with a photon then you will need to move into a position to do so. Example to move two sectors to the right would be; Course: 3 Factor: 0,2 In the picture below the player has a enemy to the left and one directly below them. They could take these enemies out with two photons one with a course set to 7. One with course set to 5. Phasers can attack them from anywhere on the map but are not advised as they spend energy. I would only use them after we have ran out of photons and are near to a stardate or the end of our run. Stellar Track 5 of 5 The Trophy Run Use your hand drawn ‘word map’ and plan out the most efficient route. By this I mean using the least amount of quadrant jumps. So if you chose 12 enemies and 19 stardates make sure your route takes less than 19 quadrant jumps. Look at the picture below. The cross marks the starting position, the circles mark a stardate and numbers mark the enemies. Also if possible try to stop at a stardate half way through your route to replenish energy and ammo. We will then follow our route, doing a SR scan, defeating any enemies in a quadrant then moving onto the next. If you have backed up your save to USB as well this run will become even easier. As you can back up your save to the cloud after every quadrant cleared before warping to the next and redownload your scummed save if the enemies in the next quadrant spawn in unfavourable positions. This will save even more energy making attaining admiral rank easier. If you mess up in anyway you can revert back to your USB save and start again. InfamousDooMZ
What a fantastic guide. Using your method got me the trophy in roughly 2 hours. The only difficult part about getting this trophy is wrapping your head around the game, but once you do, it's actually very simple. I would also like to point out 1 thing I noticed. I found that most times I reloaded a save, the path that I initially created was altered, due to some of the path being blocked by objects. As you skimmed over here: On 20/11/2021 at 4:18 AM, Rapid-Richy said: Little side note if you select your course and and factor and the ship doesn’t move there is something blocking your path therefore you will have to move around it. I eventually combated this by making a save which was only had a couple more quadrants to clear (making sure I had enough star dates), and slightly changing my path every save till I got lucky enough where the rng factor of this game didn't screw my path and I was able to complete it. VirtualNight
Thanks for the guide, it helped me to understand how to play. I was stucked on this for a few hours since I kept getting blocked paths, until I figured out the issue. A blocked path is not entirely RNG, if it happens it is because there is an obstacle in your SR Scan for the Course you want to pick. So the simple solution would be to SR Scan to check the situation and then move your ship in another sector (quadrant set to 0). After that you should be able to warp without problems.
Leebearty
Not entirely sure if it's even doable. I got 12 aliens and energy for 14 quadrants. I start at quadrant 4.4 sector 3.2 but the aliens are very appart. The way I understood it 10 was 1 alien and 20 were 2, but what are 01 or 11?
