Lost all my save progress last night

Hey every one I started this game last night was un aware it had save issues so was shocked when I returned to the game game the next day I had to pick another character loaded it up and my missions I had to re do over again I had only done the first 3 mission they were tricky enough though but am just so frustrated losing progress is the worst wondered if any had any useful tips or anything any work arounds don’t wanna quit on game yet but also don’t wanna keep wasting my time just so sad right now thank you for reading hope some one can please help me

Backup your saves to both the PS Plus Cloud and a USB drive so you always have at least 1 working backup in case something goes wrong. In your current situation, this is a known bug the devs have attempted to fix a couple of times now but they haven't got to the root cause just yet so all you can do is wait for the auto-save to kick in, then quit the game.
