Any Glitched or Buggy Trophies?

Recommended Posts

I'm considering buying the game given it's now on sale but wanted to check with people's experiences first. From what I've read here, trophies are fairly obtainable in single player with a few needing a full squad.
Are there any trophies that are buggy or potentially tricky to avoid glitches?

No trophy bugs. And you can do the whole game solo.

Haven't posted in quite a long while, but signed in to say that this is simply untrue.  I recently did the Plat grind for this game and took my time with it since I did enjoy the game quite a bit (for what my opinion is worth).  I'll also take the time to state that I would recommend this game, though I tend to enjoy different things than most people enjoy.

Perhaps you did not mean it as it was read, or misunderstood the question that Berkatronn asked.  I don't presume to pick a fight by any means, I just didn't want anyone reading this to get the wrong impression before jumping into the game.

As the game stands, however, there are two trophies specifically that require you to play outside of the solo experience.  These are High Score and Specialist.  The one that requires you to revive yourself can be done with Finka's ability or the REACT Gear that allows you to revive yourself when downed.  I also prefer to play solo a lot of the time in games, without interacting with people.  I found playing this game that I did have a lot of fun playing random groups with random people.  I normally wouldn't with a lot of games.  And sure, the most frustrating thing about this grind is the two aforementioned trophies, spawning in, and getting a group of pretty awful players that is almost a certain KO to one of your characters.  I had a long string of them when going for my 2nd plat on PS4 and trying to hit the High Score trophy.

That said, Specialist requires you to get 30k EXP 5 times while playing an Assignment.  The Assignments rotate out, but all of them require you to play with a full group of people (either random, or people you know).  I found that certain assignments (Such as the Mastery assignments), were extremely difficult to even come close to 30k (with randoms), whereas others were much easier even with random players (such as the Horde-type one that they just did last week).  I wish I had known to start testing out and playing these modes earlier on in my journey, but I sort of went at my own pace and enjoyed the game.  I would advise mixing some of these in and finding a mode that is easy for you to hit 30k with, then grinding it out before it switches.

For High Score, you are required to play Maelstrom [at the time of this writing] (which is essentially the ranked mode).  They nerfed XP on some of the Assignment missions so it is not as easy to get.  I never came close to 55k playing solo.  I'm not sure it's possible even on the highest difficulty, and perhaps it is spawning high level Archaens and just farming them as they come out of a nest or something.  Maelstrom mode is also a mode that requires a full group of 3.  55k is not an easy task on some of the weekly rotations.  There are some combinations mixed in that will destroy runs even with a coordinated group, if one person makes a single mistake.  The first time I got it, we got all the way up to 95k, and I played with 2 guys who were communicating on PC and were excellent players.  When I went for it on my PS4 plat, it took me all day grinding, and I had to type on my keyboard via Remote Play to convince the dudes I was with to even try to go for the 6th map, because they wanted to extract out and save the XP.  But it's definitely possible, even with randoms.  I will say I'm decent at the game though, and finding others who are also good is few and far between.  But it is 100% doable, and I even found that I enjoyed the challenge of the game.  I got my money's worth and would play it if they added more trophies or operators in the future.

Hope that clarified a bit.  I assume the poster above meant that you could queue solo into the different modes.  I understood your question to be more of a "do I have to play with other people?" sort of thing.  I didn't encounter any bugs, both on the research studies or the trophies.  Everything unlocked as it should have.

Yeah you are right. You can queue up solo for those 2 trophies you have mentioned. I should have been more clear

I've since started the game and your definitely right about the variable teammates when joining lobbies but I'm still fairly early in levelling up each of the operators so I've found solo to be equally fun and I've been switching between both. I will say, completing research studies (particularly stealth based ones), solo is definitely easier and often is more consistent XP approach.

Thanks very much for both of your input @d2Blindside and @LucienNL, you interpreted my query correctly.
