Lady Lilith
http://www.joystiq.com/2014/01/29/nintendo-bringing-ds-to-wii-u-virtual-console/ Nintendo's recently cleared technical hurdles regarding the Wii U's Virtual Console offerings have a clear result - the company announced plans for Nintendo DS titles to join the Wii U's current offering.Nintendo's quarterly financial meeting in Japan, in which Nintendo President Satoru Iwata laid out immediate and longterm plans for the company, also mentioned plans to license Nintendo characters to new partners. Who those partners may be is currently unclear, but the suggestion follows the company's Yoshi Island DLC for Sega's Sonic: Lost World and the recently revealed action game set in The Legend of Zelda universe, Hyrule Warriors. Why add new systems when we don't even have N64 and Genesis? N64 is the more surprising one, considering it's actually a Nintendo console. Plus we barely get any VC games as it is. I guess it's better than Wii VC was with its painfully long droughts...but still, trying to support these new systems while NES/SNES pretty much guarantees we'll only get like one game from one of the systems. That and Japan has MSX and TGCD...which means at best we'll get TG16 some day, since we never got MSX on Wii.
Wdjat Prinny Doods
Well since they are doing DS games on VC now I hope they put The World Ends With You on there.
D-Tron
This actually works well with the TV as the top screen and the gamepad as the bottom screen.
ExHaseo
Yeah, I'm pretty confused by this too. It doesn't make any sense, for all the reasons you said.
Shadiochao
This actually works well with the TV as the top screen and the gamepad as the bottom screen. That sure would be interesting in games such as Sonic Rush where you're constantly bouncing between each screen.
