Dragon Quest 10 Offline Trophy thoughts.

The list looks easy enough, it's also broad enough so it looks like any future DLC that may or may not be added can just be put in without any new trophies. The game is actually 9-10 years old and the offline version contains all the content that was made for it up until this point with version 6 being the latest content patch. The deluxe edition of the game has The Sleeping Hero and The Guiding Ally which is considered expansion content and has no trophies tied to it and may make some of the grinding trophies easier since it has more areas and quests to get things like possibly titles..

The first expansion isn't actually out yet. I bought the Deluxe Edition, I believe it just entitles you to the expansion once it actually releases.

The game actually has a very easy trophy list, the only two that take any real effort to get are the 100 Quest and 30 Subjugation Quest trophies. The former because 100 is quite a lot, and the latter because subjugation quests are gated by time, so that trophy alone will take at least 30 hours (though you can do other things while the subjugation quests are running.

Everything else will either be gotten through normal gameplay, or in very short time when trying to actively unlock the trophies (such as the forging/alchemist/casino ones.) There aren't any trophies behind superbosses or anything, either.

I just find it really odd that the code they give you in the box for The Sleeping Hero and Guiding Allies doesn't work and they give zero notification on the card that the code won't work until XXXX date.

I had to Google Translate this because it's not localized yet... or ever. :(

I really want Square Enix to do a Final Fantasy XI offline port now.

How abotu a Final Fantasy XIV offline port? I know that is a huge development considering how much story is already covered, but as long as they do the expansions as DLC, they can do it, and it would spare them embarassment when they can no longer support the online version.

Also, it seems that the first expansion to this game DOES have DLC trophies, but they are mostly boss fights or other things. Nothing too bad.

I would love that too! I can't log into my account on my PS4 or PS5, and I can't make a new one because it's locked to 1 FFXIV account per PSN account. An offline version could give me a way to experience Final Fantasy XIV...

But I believe SE should focus on a remastered FFXI. It's one of the few mainline games not available on modern consoles, so it would probably do great sales-wise with fans, unlike an FFXIV offline version which will harm current subscriptions to FFXIV.

Edit: Unrelated, but congrats on recently getting the Kingdom Hearts 3 Platinum!

I love seeing people play KH!
