danielray1987
Just brought a PS4 home, and I wonder if I should use the HDMI cable that comes with PS4. Do some researching on the internet, and find out that there is a rumor this cable is in poor quality, which would damage the HDMI port and even results in Blue Light of Death. I'm confused about this, and welcome to throw in your two cents. I would happy to see your opinions. F22-Razgriz
In my personal opinion, YES, it is in Poor Quality for an HDMI. But hey its free so don't expect too much. Am using my Former PS3's HDMI cable. HDMI 3.0 and never looked backed. I just kept the free cord on my PS4 box. Might come handy in emergency purposes, you'll never know. But if you have an option to use your former once I'll encourage you to do so. And Yes, those report, during the launch month in the U.S was True and Sony did acknowledged the faulty HDMI's. #justmy2cents Cheers! #goodvibes Razgriz Support Link for your reference: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/15/ps4-hdmi-issue-traced-back-to-upright-metal-in-port And this one: http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/consoles/ps4-hdmi-issue-results-in-a-limited-number-of-broken-launch-hardware-1199946 Edited February 28, 2014 by xf22Razgriz

Azaan60
The HDMI issue was only reported on Launch editions of the console, the links Razzgriz posted are all from Nov 2013; Sony probably would have fixed the issue by now and it was a pretty rare one aswell, you'll be fine Edited February 28, 2014 by Azaan60
