I'm pretty sure Ascaron who were originally behind the Sacred name did shut up shop (which was a shame, I loved the Port Royale series on PC.) But Deep Silver who saved the console release are behind it so it could be ok. that being said, I've not heard anything about Sacred 3 since 2010 when I believe the above links were posted.
