PS4 save data corrupted - is there any solution?

i want to autopop the ps5 plague tale innocence trophies as i platted the ps4 version of the game.

i have the ps4 save on a backup drive containing all saves of games i played over the years, but when connecting to the ps4 and even ps5 via usb, the computer reads 'corrupt data'.

i tried making a new save file of the game and overwriting the slot save of the save file containing my plat but it still shows as corrupted data on the screen for both consoles.

i even tried installing the game on its original form without any updates, still no luck.

the format of the files are just 'file' and 'bin' and i have no idea how to look into them.

is there any other solution i can try or must i bite the bullet and play the whole game again from scratch when attempting to platinum the ps5 version?

Once a save has been corrupted, it's gone forever so the only thing you can do if you don't have a clean backup, is bin it and start over from scratch.
