PS Plus Required to play online, after updating to PS4 Software 10.50

I was casually playing some TLOU Remastered, and wanted to play some Factions to grind the Firefly and Hunter trophies. After clicking it, i saw the PS+ subscription tiers screen, but a week before, i could play it without PS+. After launching both of the Minecraft versions again, it requires PS+. For me it's sounds like every paid game requires PS+.

I don't know if im doing something wrong, or Sony really want more people subscribing to PS+.

Last week was a free weekend. You do have to subscribe to it to play online

Every paid game has required PS+ to play online ever since the PS4 launched. Only free to play games don't require you to be subscribed. 

 

On older platforms like PS3 and Vita, it's also free but all paid PS4 and PS5 games require it.

99% of paid titles require PSN+ to play online. There are exceptions, that 1% there, but a lot of them are either games where not having online would defeat the purpose or games where the online is harshly limited without PSN+.
