Hi! im trying to get the MP trophies and I cant consistently stay on the same lobby without being disconnected. It says something like "you got disconected due to bad connection with other players".

Anyone got this issue? Any tips to solve it?

Hi! I still have this problem but i managed to work around it. If i'm the one inviting other players, no one seems to have connecion problems, but if i get invited i get disconnected within a minute. Also if someone invites me to a lobby with 2-3 players, I almost never get kicked. I hope this also works for you

Check your Firewall / Router for NAT Type restrictions

If you have a firewall or other network hardware, such as a router, you may need to access them to change your NAT type. Sometimes this configuration change is caused by opening or forwarding other network ports.

Check your Open Network Ports

PlayStation Network uses the following ports for communication with game servers:

  • Port 80 (TCP)
  • Port 443 (TCP)
  • Port 3478 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 3479 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 3480 (TCP)

GTA Online requires the following ports to be open:

  • Port 6672 (UDP)
  • Port 61455 (UDP)
  • Port 61457 (UDP)
  • Port 61456 (UDP)
  • Port 61458 (UDP)

Change your Domain Name Servers (DNS)

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Network
  3. Select Set Up Internet Connection
  4. Select Wifi/LAN (depending on what you use to connect)
  5. Select Custom
  6. Select / Enter the following details
    • IP Address Settings = Automatic
    • DHCP Host Name = Do Not Specify
    • DNS Settings = Manual
    • Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
    • Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
      (These are Google DNS Addresses)
    • MTU Settings: Automatic
    • Proxy Server: Do Not Use

Reset Your Network Router

You can reset your router by unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for about 10 minutes. Restart the game client and check to see if your issue is resolved.

Additional Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and see if they are experiencing any issues connecting to us, or if they have any temporary outages.
  2. Make sure your router’s firmware is up-to-date (check with your ISP)
  3. Enable or disable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) on your router or system settings
  4. If you have a combined router/modem or ADSL, try temporarily setting the unit to Bridge Mode. This will bypass the router part of the hardware. If this fixes the issue, you may be able to connect a second router between the combination unit and the console to dial the PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet)
  5. If you use an ADSL connection, check to see if dialing a PPPoE connection from the console improves your NAT type.

open some specific port on internet router and change dns to PS3 parameter.

PS3  to be wired to your internet router/box an don't use wifi.

And some time, i needed to restart my internet box (about 5-10min power shut down), to force a change of ip internet (internet box provider side)

Hmm I need to do these. Better get on them before it gets any worse 1f62c.png

Good idea the game is awesome ? also I think it's a bad idea waiting for a server shutdown notice that adds stress.
