Unatainable and more questions?

Is this platinum unatainable or about to be? Also when the new game releases will it still be atainable and will there be servers and when will they shut down bc ive not started the game yet. how longs the grind

While I’m not the best person to talk to about sports games, from what I’ve seen in the Upcoming Server Shutdowns and Delistings is that there is usually a couple years or so where the game still has the online service running. Updates, challenges and other frequently refreshed content might not happen as often, if at all, after the next year’s game launches. For MLB The Show it seems 3 years is the live lifecycle of each game. FIFA seems to be about 3-4 years. No idea about NBA though. 
 

If you’re that worried I would look at a list of when each previously shut down NBA game happened. If there’s a pattern you can discern how long you have for 2K23. Also keep an eye on the aforementioned Forum Thread about Shutdowns

Since this is the PS4 version, it's already unattainable. PS5 version should be fine until it closes next year.

NBA 2K games shut down at the end of the next year.

 

Ie. 2K23 servers will shutdown 31 Dec 2024.

 

The end of this year, will see 2K22 shutdown.

 

Everything in the PS4 version is obtainable, except the You're a star trophy. Which means the plat is unobtainable if you haven't got that one.
