Cannot download my PS4 saves

Hi everybody,

I got the platinum of Death Stranding years ago on my PS4. Now I wanted to get the PS5 Directors Cut version since it's available on the PS plus catalog.

I have my PS4 save data on the cloud and I also downloaded them on my PS5. However, when I start the game and choose to import my PS4 save data, the game tells me that no save data are found on the server.

Is there any way to fix this issue? Or should I just start the game over once again?

You need to export your save to the servers from inside the PS4 version.

So can I download the PS4 version on my PS5, export the save data then open them on the Director Cut version?

Actually a bit more involved than that. You have to play a mission in the PS4 version of the game to essentially deliver your data to the export console, because having a menu button for something like that was too basic for Hideo Kojima.
