Going Rogue trophy

Ive found this to be the most awkward/random trophy so far.

 

I cant get past 7 criminals killed - at somepoint in the run the game decides to mess things up, for example,  the criminal spawns in a trashmaster, truck, patriot or van and goes at speeds of a sportscar making it difficult to stop and kill them.  Or no matter how much damage the car doesnt stop and the timer runs out.

 

 Very frustrating!

 

Any tips for this trophy would be apprecaited.

Finish all story missions & you'll unlock a tank at Phil's place on Staunton Island. Get into a tank, start the Vigilante mission & fire away.

does tank count as a police vehicle?  and can you catch the criminal in it?

Definitely use the Rhino tank. That’s what I’ve always done with the vigilante missions.

It does, and you can shoot rockets to blow up the criminals in their cars.

I did this last night. The trash wagon can be a pain, but if you've unlocked the Uzi just blast it till it's on fire.

 

Second guessing the crims routes will help when they're in fast vehicles.

 

I found ramming them three or four times tends to get them to abandon their vehicles & you can easily run them down.

 

What I found helped a lot is to get into a new police car every three or four rounds, or whenever you drive past the police station if you have time.

 

Pick up police bribes if you have more than two stars too, that's a big help.
