Parker
Games with Gold, the Microsoft equivalent to PlayStation Plus, will finally be adding the current generation of systems to its game selection starting in June with the addition of Halo: Spartan Assault amd Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. Microsoft has announced that Games with Gold is finally coming to Xbox One next month, starting with Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault. Xbox One Without Kinect Coming in June01:20 The one-year anniversary of Games with Gold occurs next month and brings the program to Xbox One, but with a small change that's similar to PlayStation Plus. Games available on Xbox One via the program require a Gold membership to play, which isn't the case for Games with Gold on Xbox 360. Microsoft says that "members will have subscription-based access to free games ranging from top hits to breaking indie stars." As for Xbox 360 owners, Gold members will receive an extra game next month because of the one-year anniversary: Dark Souls, Charlie Murder, and the bonus title,Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. Microsoft says it's thanking fans for shaping the program, which has been used by more than 12 million people. Halo: Spartan Assault - Video Review03:35 The Games with Gold news comes alongside the reveal that Microsoft will release a Kinect-less version of the Xbox One for $399 USD on June 9. In addition, the American company is ending the Gold membership requirement for streaming apps, like Netflix and Hulu. Source: IGN Its about time. While I don't expect anything amazing this early in the consoles life cycle it was pretty disappointing that Sony was offering games for the PS4 on PS+ while Games with Gold didn't do anything for early Xbone supporters. ProGamerX56
Games with Gold is weak compared to PlayStation Plus, supplying unpopular and old games [and I mean really old]. They need to really kick this shit off.
